AI Analysis · Q2 2025

Kaye Capital Management put $40.7 million into a new IVV position, then paired it with fresh stakes in VTV, QQQ and IOO. Those four additions now absorb 41.9% of the $260.0 million portfolio, marking a decisive shift toward broad equity funds rather than a collection of individual stock calls. The real concentration risk is therefore hidden inside wrappers: 41 reported positions create an appearance of breadth, but a small group of large funds determines much of the book's behavior.

The funding pattern reinforces that pivot. Kaye cut BSCP by an estimated $5.5 million, reduced FEBT and BSCV, and added heavily to BSJT, DFEM and BSCQ. Even PID's small reported value gain was not a purchase; the firm sold 72,392 shares and price movement masked the reduction. The quarter reads as a large-scale redesign of portfolio architecture, with index exposure and a reshaped bond-fund ladder replacing the prior mix.

Kaye also rebuilt the maturity-oriented portion of the book rather than merely expanding everything. The largest reduction was BSCP: 267,792 shares were sold, an estimated $5.5 million withdrawal that cut the position to $6.8 million. FEBT fell by about $2.7 million of share-based selling, and BSCV by roughly $1.6 million. Against those reductions, Kaye added an estimated $4.6 million to BSJT, $4.5 million to DFEM, $3.3 million to BSCQ and $3.1 million to BSJR. The result is a rebalanced ladder, not a uniform increase in the existing fund lineup.

One apparent contradiction is purely a price effect. PID's reported value edged up by about $61,000, yet Kaye reduced the holding by 72,392 shares, equivalent to roughly $1.5 million of selling at the quarter-end price. Calling PID an add would invert the actual action: appreciation masked the sale.
