Methodology: for each institutional manager we compare its latest quarterly 13F filing against the prior quarter, per security. “Buyers” = managers that opened or added to a position; “sellers” = managers that trimmed or exited. Counts exclude passive index funds, market makers, custodians, and funds-of-funds; options positions are excluded. 13F filings disclose long U.S. equity positions with up to a 45-day lag.
