Pekin Hardy Strauss, Inc.
$957M in tracked AUM across 478 positions as of Q1 2026.
Sprott Physical Gold Trust was Pekin Hardy Strauss's single largest position last quarter at $142.6 million — 13.18% of the entire $1.08 billion book, more than six times the size of the next-biggest holding. This quarter, that position is gone completely, a full $142.6 million liquidation. It wasn't an isolated move: two sibling Sprott metals vehicles were also slashed (PSLV -59.5% shares, CEF -62.7% shares), alongside real cuts to Agnico Eagle (-42.7%), VanEck Gold Miners ETF (-29.2%), Alamos Gold (-24.9%), and two more metals-linked ETFs — a systematic retreat from precious metals across seven separate vehicles that helped drag total AUM down 11.5% to $957 million. The freed capital scattered into small new positions rather than one clear replacement theme: a T-bill ETF, an energy-sector ETF, Sprouts Farmers Market, and Chevron among them.
