The Financial Select Sector SPDR is an exchange-traded fund managed by State Street Global Advisors that seeks to track the Financial Select Sector Index, representing the financial sector of the S&P 500. It provides concentrated, market-cap-weighted exposure to large-cap U.S. financial companies including banks, insurance firms, capital markets and diversified financial services providers. As one of the largest and most liquid sector ETFs, it is widely used to obtain broad exposure to the U.S. financial industry.
